The 1st Canadian Grief and Bereavement Conference

Families of Ontario is a non-profit organization
dedicated to bereavement support through self-help
and mutual aid. Its affiliates are

throughout Ontario...more about us.
We are embarking on an inaugural conference focusing on
Grief and Bereavement."It's About Time", the first
Canadian Grief and Bereavement Conference, will feature
excellent keynote speakers
and workshops, plus opportunities
for delegates to network, share stories, and ultimately
provide mutual aid.
This
conference will benefit a wide variety of organizations,
professions and individuals across Canada –
Doctors, nurses, psychologists, clergy, funeral directors,
parish nurses, social workers, hospice providers and volunteers,
educators, case managers, palliative care workers, and others
dealing with personal grief, death and bereavement issues.
We
are very excited about this conference, the information
it will provide, and the impact it can potentially make
on many peoples' lives. By supporting healthy grief this
conference will ultimately save health care dollars.
There
will be three workshop sessions
on Saturday, May 1st - early morning, late morning, and
afternoon. Six concurrent workshops will be presented
in each session.
